Such a morale booster. Everyday would start off with them being you hot tea or coffee to your tent to wake up up.. a half hour later a bowl of hot water was brought to your tent to wash up and run a half hour after that a hot 3 course breakfast was served in the mess tent. every meal was 3 courses. I never was hungry. Local Crew me feel like family. We would play cards sometimes in the down time at camp. Have very interesting Ngorongoro Crater about our different cultures. I can a few days early and they last minute arranged a tour of a waterfall and the market. They also helped us go to a local school and donate supplies. The best part is we all made it to the top. I did have some high altitude sickness but they had oxygen and really made sure I was taken care of.

the last few days Innocent had arranged a tour to the hot springs, visit the maasai and a couple days of safari! All were excellent. if you only have a chance to safari one day I highly recommend the Ngorongoro Crater.
So to sum things up - Local Crew was knowledgeable. they were accessible - any time I had a question or concern Innocent (head guide and leader) was on it. The food was amazing and plenty. Innocent would twice day check our oxygen levels and always diligent about our health and safety concerns. didn’t eat any of the snacks I had brought. Local Crew made us feel welcome the whole two weeks I spent in Tanzania- taking care of me from beginning to end. Can’t wait to go back and visit again - and yes I will be picking Innocent and Local Crew Expeditions!

Logistics and comfort –... read more Despite the challenging conditions on the mountain, local crew expedition ensured our comfort, and the logistics were handled flawlessly. The tents were always clean and setup by the time we reached each campsite. Campsites were well prepared with clean private bathroom, hot water for washing, fresh meals, and clean facilities. They provided us with 2 sleep pads, so we can be warm in the nights. They make sure that we had a balance between experiencing the wilderness and having basic comforts.

Guides - Our Guides Brown and Reneta managed every aspect of the climb perfectly, from daily briefings, gear checks and nutritional advice. Their attention to details helped us stay on track physically and mentally throughout the hike. Safety was a clear priority for local crew expedition. Our guides were equipped with oxygen, medical kits, Diamox, monitored our overall well-being. I would have not summited without the help of our guide Reneta and porter Noha. They were not only experts in navigating the terrain but also deeply knowledgeable about the local flora, fauna and culture. They were attentive about our pace and ensured our safety, even on the more challenging paths like Barranco wall and summit night.

Food – Food was surprisingly delicious and nutritious. Being an Indian, I had some special requests, and our chef Van accommodated all my requests. He made some Indian food with sona masoori rice. He even made Indian Bhajia’s with ginger tea on top of the mountain. They even setup tea tables in the middle of the hike with ginger tea, cookies and snacks

Safari –After hike, we did 2-day safari with local crew and Innocent arranged a awesome driver and great accommodation in middle of nowhere. He saw lot of animals with a great picnic lunch.
Cultural tour – The company partners with indigenous tribes, allowing us to learn about their traditions, food, and way of life. Innocent also arranged a visit to Maasai village. We had great time visiting the village, learning their culture, wearing their jewelry, and dancing with them. This authentic cultural immersion added a rich layer to the adventure.

Hiking with knowledgeable guides, seamless logistics made a potentially daunting experience manageable and enjoyable. My hike with them exceeded all the expectations, blending adventure, culture, and natural beauty. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other hiking tours and service is best. From our arrival to departure all aspects of our trip were taken care off. Innocent chose top notch guides ( Brown and Renata), creative chef Van and awesome porters Joyce and Noah.
Our chef prepared delicious, nutritious and healthy meals in cam setting as well as surprised us with tea and snacks during hiking.
I will always remember how challenging the mountain was. I will never forget the energy and cheering of our crew. They were the reason for our summit success.
Our safari adventures were also fantastic. We visited Ngorongoro and Teringire Parks. We had seen many exotic animals and stayed in a very nice hotel. Our driver/guide brought us picnic lunch each day. Innocent had provided us with service that exceeded our expectations.
Did I mention that their pricing was very reasonable when compared with other vendors?
